Critical Incident Preparedness Training
A critical incident is any event or series of events that is sudden, overwhelming, threatening or protracted. Some organisations have significant critical incident events each year due to the nature of their business. We can support these ongoing incidents through a self sufficient process: peer support training. This program is designed to teach your employees how to provide adequate and necessary support when an incident occurs, ensuring correct support is offered and referral systems are in place to minimise risk to the individuals and organisation. This training does not substitute critical incident debriefing which must always be conducted by a trained professional. The peer support program does however cover the initial response and teaches workers how to keep an eye out on others. This training is evidence based and our trainers have trained front line response workers, for many years and across many different agencies. Acacia Connection offer the training options you require and are tailored and delivered to meet your business needs with a focus on removing or reducing the impacts of workplace issues and increasing employees’ commitment and productivity.
2. Workplace Culture
Motivation, productivity, quality work and retention are the results of a positive workplace culture, yet are often overlooked. Using the latest evidence based change and culture processes based on evidence based tools and programs you will be able to qualify and measure your employees’ attitudes towards your business. Through employee surveys we can work with you to analyse and provide strategies and recommendations in areas that require attention and development.
3. Productivity
Workplace productivity is an area of all business that has continuous improvement needs. Having Acacia Connection as your EAP provider ensures excellent clinical and organisational practice based on international evidence. International research has shown that EAPs that are actively used and promoted within companies show a 3-5 times return on each dollar invested. This is because employees are often distracted by external issues such as relationships, family, children and the potential effects of their own personal issues such as; depression, lack of confidence, alcoholism, gambling, anxiety, and mental health issues etc...An EAP is designed to get employees back on track quickly and assist them to be at their most efficient when at work. We recognise that our employees, like all of us, cannot turn off their personal lives once they are at work. By offering to provide a support service that addresses the individual as a whole, you will benefit both financially and through a greater commitment from your employees who are supported by your organisation.
4. Attraction, Recruitment and Retention
Acacia Connection can offer evidence based psychometric testing methodologies that include personality testing and competency profiling and screening, so as to limit the risk and the cost associated with recruitment. Our competency model also offers suitable questions for final interviews.
5. Managing Teams
Managing teams effectively can greatly contribute to organisational productivity and relationship strengthening throughout your organisation. Acacia Connection provides a proactive model, including change management planning and support, together with 360 degree feedback models. These are specifically tailored to your organisations current needs with a long term view and plan to ensure the greatest commitment and efficiency.
Professional workers are often left to their own guidance when it comes to managing complex issues. They are expected to present as calm and in control while applying their professional training to all environments. While this expectation is true, they are also faced with the similar business and people challenges that we all face and often without peer discussion opportunities. Our reflective practice group model is evidence based and has been in place with successful measures and outcomes in the UK for over 15 years. These groups offer a supportive place for professional workers to come together and discuss the challenges they face in a collegial small group environment.
